Finding places to drop off recyclables

Many local governments have well-established recycling programs that provide curbside pickup or drop-off recycling sites.

What happens if I just trash electronic and chemicals?

These products can cause operating problems at the Waste to Energy facility or contaminate the landfill. Hazardous products in the trash can mix with other chemicals in a garbage truck and produce toxic fumes, catch fire, or explode. Instead of trashing these items, take them to a mobile collection or the Household Electonics and Chemical Collection Center for recycling or safe disposal.
